New! Terrell Tilford returns to the role of Dr. Carrington on Friday, September 5.

New! Jensen Higley, the 18-year-old daughter of Days' head-scribe Dena Higley, has been playing Melanie's "friend" Susan since August 4!

Matthew Borlenghi (ex-Ziggy, B&B; ex-Brian Bodine, AMC ) is coming to Salem to play Anthony Marino, who will be shaking things up for Roman, Abe and their superiors at SPD starting September 18. To get the scoop from Borlenghi and hear what he's been getting into recently, click here.  


 

Bryan Friday is the man behind the mask! Word is, Bryan has quite the rep as a stuntman. Hopefully, that means things with Marlena's stalker are going to get interesting!

In case you were wondering, that's Brandon DeShazer playing Harry, the detective who's been working the computer at the Salem PD.

 

Davide Schivone has been tapped to play Young Stefano and airs Wednesday, August 20.

Bill Hayes returns as Hope's dad, Doug, on August 1.

 

 

Brea Cola turns up as "Daphne," a tabloid reporter who has a past with Max, on July 29.

McKinley Freeman has been hired to play "Evan," the new manager of the Java Cafe starting August 1.

Max and Stephanie get closer to Max's sister, which means her "friends" are starting to pop up. Yuval David shows up as her pal "George" on July 29; while Alex Schemmer pops up as "Les," a not so friendly acquaintance, on August 31.

 


The role of "Brad Baker," the reporter, will be played by Leith Burke. Look for Brad on Friday, August 8th.

 


Molly Burnett is coming to the show to play "Melanie", Max Brady's half-sister, July 31. For more info click here!



"Judge Karen Fitzpatrick" will be played by Marsha Clark on Friday, July 18.

Kimberly Estrada returns to the role of Yvonne Li on Tuesday, June 24th.

Word is 17-year-old Molly McCook, daughter to John McCook (Eric, The Bold and the Beautiful) is testing for a new role in Salem. Stay tuned!

Yvette Freeman plays Nurse Lesley; and Lauren Boles is playing the newly SORASed Ciara!


Goings

Rumors were percolating that Passions Eric Martsolf (Ethan) was heading to Salem as the new Brady, but Days has official quashed that buzz. Too bad!

Tamara Braun (Ava) will also be leaving this summer, though she has no exit date as of yet. We'll keep you posted!

Two weeks after hitting Salem, Joe Penny's villainous Martino exits the show in a final way on May 15. To read more, click here!

Grandpa Shawn (portrayed by Frank Parker) unfortunately died on February 15th and the character left the show. This is expected to be the last date he'll air in a new show, though there could be flashbacks of him with an upcoming funeral. You can read more about Frank's career at soaps.com

Staying

Thaoo Penghlis (Tony DiMera) has renewed his contract with the show!

Darin Brooks (Max)) is reportedly staying in the mix, having signed his new contract with the show.

InRich.com, a local Virginia newspaper, has reported that "I Wanna Be A Soap Star" winner Ashlee Holland has been offered and accepted a three year contract with Days! Originally she was only to have won a 13 week contract role with the show.

As of August 2007, Kristian Alfonso (Hope) has re-signed with the show for 2 more years.

As of May 2006, Josh Taylor (Roman) recently re-signed with the show for 2 more years. This was reported on his Official Blog

As of August 2006, Deidre Hall has re-signed with the show for two more years! This news was reported by Deidre's WebDeeva on her official website webboard

As of April 2006, Alison Sweeney (Sami) has signed a new contract with the show keeping her on Days for three more years.
